The German Canadian Association of Nova Scotia’s mission is to:
• cultivate the customs, language, and social activities of Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, in a unified manner, on behalf of citizens of Nova Scotia who have a German-speaking heritage
• contribute, in an educative and celebratory way, to multiculturalism
• serve as a hub for individuals and businesses wishing to do business with and for German-speaking countries.
The German Canadian Association of Nova Scotia strives to be seen as the hub for the German-speaking community (including Germans, Swiss and Austrians), represented both in a diverse membership across the province and as a recognized organization by its broad set of cultural, private, public and academic stakeholders. While continuing to build on its historic roots in Halifax, the organization looks to the future with a continued ambition to celebrate a positive and lively Nova Scotia.
